Deborah Judd, 56, a teacher at Laurelhurst Elementary School, said the gunman was in the middle of the road and fired through her windshield, striking her in the arm, the shoulder and lung, and he did not say anything before opening fire. "I want to make sure that the kids know I'm OK, and I'll be back soon, and I love them," Judd, who has been teaching for 30 years in Texas and Washington state, said."And I know how scary it is for them."
The bus driver, identified by officials as Eric Stark, has been hailed as a hero for backing up the large vehicle and moving it out of danger despite being shot. None of the passengers on the bus were injured.that his main concern was:"I've got to get these people out of here."
