A 29-year-old man was arrested Friday on child exploitation material charges after an online tip led police to his home in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood,The investigation began with a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about the distribution of "hundreds of child sexual abuse material images," police said.
Police said the man's home in the 8500 block of Dayton Avenue North in Greenwood was then searched at 9:00 a.m. Friday with a warrant by SPD Internet Crimes Against Children investigators , officers with the Community Response Group, and Washington ICAC Taskforce members then Officers found more evidence on electronic devices while serving the search warrant, and the man admitted to viewing and possessing the images in an interview with detectives, according to the SPD.
"The suspect was arrested for possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and dealing in depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct," the SPD said.The ICAC investigates cases that might involve the production, distribution, or possession of child exploitation materials or where Electronic Service Provider systems have been used for such crimes,
