Gadsden police and firefighters immediately launched a search. Breonna Cole, an emergency management specialist with Gadsden/Etowah County EMA said that as of 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, the victim has not been found. Multiple boats with sonar and mapping technology, as well as dragging capabilities, have been used in recovery efforts.
Other resources that have been deployed include helicopters, dive teams, drones, search and rescue teams, Cole said.
