Search for missing couple in Moab interrupted by severe weather

President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are set to square off on the debate stage in an unprecedented election matchup.Their UTV was found on Monday and the couple hasn’t been seen since.

The Grand County Sheriff’s Office is still calling this a search and rescue operation, but the severe weather moving through is making things a little tough.“Initially we started off in the whole Mill Creek drainage area. We continued to do that from Steel Bender,” said Al Cymbaluk with the Grand County Sheriff’s Office.“We had dig teams, we had drones, we had watercraft and we had ground teams,” he said.

“We've mobilized law enforcement to make the public aware to avoid the areas that are most critical to a weather pattern like this,” Cymbaluk said. While authorities have not said if the two missing got caught in the flooding that happened there recently, dozens of people were stranded and rescued in the storm mid-June.
