Save Rochester hosted a press conference with Marvin Taylor , the 22-year-old man who was arrested during a May 7 traffic stop that's prompted claims of racist police brutality after body-worn camera footage was released from the incident. Rochester , N.Y. — Activist group Save Rochester met with the media Thursday to talk about the controversial body-worn camera video from a traffic stop May 7, claiming it was the latest example of what the group calls racist police misconduct .
Police body-worn camera footage released Tuesday showed officers asking Taylor to roll down his tinted window several times before breaking it and pulling him out. Taylor's response was, "I rolled down my window, was trying to cooperate with the police officer, and they used excessive force."The Rochester Police Locust Club said it stands behind the chief's statement, which reads,
