CAIRO - Egyptian billionaire Naguib Sawiris said on Sunday that he was holding talks to acquire a 51% stake in the state-owned Shalateen mining company. Sawiris chairs private gold mining group La Mancha and had said that he intended to invest in gold and copper mining in Egypt if investment conditions improved.

Egypt in January issued new regulations that appeared to eliminate the need for mining companies to form joint ventures with the government and to limit state royalties to a maximum 20%.

China’s minorities have a tough time finding jobsState-owned enterprises, which have an official mandate to hire more minority workers, appear at least as biased as other firms China is bad to its minorities!! So people are living a lot longer in Tibet now than they used thanks to China and communism but Tibet is a hard place to live with many inherent dangers. How about the black people and other minorities in western counties, do they live as good as white people? Mind your own business! Unprofessional report, what a shame.
