I’m so excited about this new job, I’m like a little kid on Christmas eve. Had a great phone call with my new boss and she’s over the moon that I accepted the offer and kept thanking me. I’m already feeling valued and appreciated.
Missed the last week of work self isolating so no closure, no goodbyes, no best friend’s wedding. Pretty devastating but I’ve had no symptoms and been testing negative which is very welcome. The man and I isolated together for the first 5 days and it was so lovely, a very peaceful coexistence. Lots of cooking and eating and screwing and napping and watching movies, mixed with lots of time in separate rooms getting on with our own stuff. It seems to be going well still and now I’m back at mine, alone, and I miss him like a stupid dork.
I’m allowed out on Tuesday so I’ll go to my folks’ for the night, wake up there on Wednesday and then head home because the man has asked if he can come over for a birthday celebration in the evening. Please tell me something delightful and *not in your home* that has happened this week or that you’re looking forward to...I miss the outside world.
Whenever you can handle the constant criticism, check ins from ransoms, and faked gossip from the people or publications around you.
