It's his sixth Quest title

Eureka-based musher Brent Sass arrived in Central Monday morning, well ahead of the rest of the field, to win the Yukon Quest 300-mile Race.

Behind Sass was Eddie Burke, earning second place as he arrived in Central Monday evening at 5:21 p.m. with eight dogs. As of news time, nine mushers from this year’s YQA 300 13-person field were still on the trail, with Sass and Burke’s race complete and two mushers — Anna Hennessy and Steve Humes — having scratched.
