A Brownlee man, 42, was arrested by RCMP during a traffic stop in Edmonton. Police say they found 10.6 kilograms of suspected fentanyl.

The Brownlee man is facing charges of trafficking in a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of equipment for use in production of substance, all under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.Article content

They worked with the Red Deer Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team and determined the man may have been in Edmonton. Officers were deployed the next day. He had been wanted in connection with a May 2020 incident, also involving drugs, when police executed a warrant at a home near Biggar.
