) -The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office received their newly wrapped Honor Guard van which was made possible thanks to donations from Motorcycle Riding Events of America which is a non-profit that was started by local law enforcement officers. The sheriff’s office says they’ve needed the van for quite some time, and it will be used to support the Honor Guard in all they do for fallen officers and their families.
“They do anything that the family requires they also stand by the casket they also fold the flag, that’s a big part of it but they do so much more,” said Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson. “This van is not only to honor the fallen but to honor the honor guard as well because they do a good job for us."
Motorcycle Riding Events of America will have their second annual ray’s run tomorrow morning in honor fallen Okaloosa County Corporal Ray Hamilton who was killed in the line of duty in 2022. It will start at New Beginnings Church in Crestview. Registration starts at 9:30 and the ride starts at 11:00.
