San Francisco is expected to become the first city in the U.S. to ban e-cigarettes this week, a move that will likely pit the city against one of its fastest-growing startups: Juul Labs Inc.
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors will hold a final vote on the ordinance, which bans the sale, distribution and manufacturing of e-cigarettes, on Tuesday. The measure will then need to be signed by the mayor, London Breed.
You can shoot up openly on the streets, with provided needles, but don't you dare vape.

Oh and yes, I understand the differences between smoking and vaping. I do neither but I am an American and we all deserve rights. One day its vaping. The next day? Who knows. Something you consider your own personal right and that of others will be in question. What then?
But all joking aside: were the people of San Francisco able to vote this in or was this just another prime example of rights being revoked. I don't smoke but I believe that if restrictions in a U.S. City are to be adopted it should first find a spot on a ballot. Then a vote taken
