JUST IN: San Francisco residents have recalled three members of the city’s school board for what critics called misplaced priorities and putting progressive politics over the needs of children during the pandemic.

“It seems to have catalyzed a broader general public awareness in San Francisco. Many people are seeing what’s happening in the school board as a reflection of a broader failure,” said Siva Raj, a father of two who helped launch the recall effort. “Here we are living in one of the wealthiest cities in the world and we are not getting the basics right.”

It drew national attention for an effort to rename 44 schools that was part of a racial reckoning critics said went too far. School board members said they focused on sites that honored public figures linked to racism, sexism and other injustices. On the list were names like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and trailblazing California Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

“Sadly our school board’s priorities have often been severely misplaced,” Mayor London Breed said in her endorsement of the recall effort. “San Francisco’s public school parents aren’t just voicing normal, commonplace frustrations.” Many Asian parents were already angered by the board’s efforts to end merit-based admissions at the elite Lowell High School, where Asian students are the majority.

WTAF! 🤦‍♂️ Any chance they checked the rapists DNA at the same time!

DA: San Francisco police used rape kit DNA to arrest victimSan Francisco’s police chief says he's investigating claims that DNA collected from rape victims is being used to help identify them as possible crime suspects. District Attorney Chesa Boudin says a woman was arrested recently based on her rape kit DNA. That’s crazy because I know there are more rape kits that sit untested than tested… Yo, I don't think y'all should be taking DNA from rape kits and turning victims into criminals. ?

San Francisco police used rape victim database to identify suspects, prosecutor saysThe San Francisco Police Dept. is accused of using DNA from rape and sexual assault victims to identify possible crime suspects in a practice that the city’s district attorney calls “legally and ethically wrong.” Once you accept that his platform is all about aiding/abetting criminals, then it makes sense why he keeps going out of his way for them. If they’re using the bad guy’s cum to find the bad guy I would say that’s legally and ethically the right thing to do. Am I reading this wrong? Nah, ethically wrong to use DNA supplied to police?, Erm once DNA is supplied to police it's the police's duty to check all DNA held on file for detection or elimination from/of crime... It's prudent practice. I'm guessing the ones complaining are the ones who got caught.
