Potholes have been so plenty in San Diego lately, Mayor Todd Gloria publicly addressed it. Here's what the city is doing about the recent uptick. 🕳️ 🚗🕳️

the City received 850 new reports from residents of potholes and they filled 700 of them.

The city typically has around 200 pending pothole repair requests but there are nearly 2,000 pending as of Jan. 21.sending some people to auto shopsAn employee of a repair shop near Miramar Road said the business had been busy after the recent spate of storms, reports NBC 7's Dana Williams. “The other day it made the valve stem on my tire come loose and I had to pull over and figure it out and realized I had a loose valve stem and they had it change it at the tire shop,” San Diegan Brian Hinger said.

Didn't have this issue growing up in Florida. The roads in California are not kept up with correctly.

You mean Craters! Some of these are deep enough to lose control of your car let alone if a motorcycle doesn't see it time someone will be killed or badly injured. Roads and streets need a better system that last a heck longer than a rain storm.

Stop with asphalt crap, and use some real concrete

Lol. They’ve been there for 3 years. Hire a paving crew. Damn

The potholes are extremely bad!

Kevin_Faulconer made a REAL effort and scratched up $2 Million to help repair roads. 👍🏼

They have not been maintaining the roads! And Todd Gloria is directly responsible for homelessness!

Hahahaha. B S. We had had them for over 25 years

There was 3,000 before the storm that was never fixed

all over cali wheres that gas tax newsome?

How many times has Kearny Villa Road had to be fixed because of shoddy workmanship?

Well, get to work and fix it!

So FIX THE ROADS! Dont point blame just fix! SD roads are a joke and have been for many years. Third world countries are better!! Other American cities repave entire city every few years. Yet it's been decades for SD. Where have you.wasted out taxpayer money? Fix the roads!

Yes, the storms...never the poor work of the city.

The storms just made them worse. Our roads are not only dangerous, but are a huge embarrassment.

This administration is usually actively wasting time looking for the next excuse as to why they’re always lacking in forward momentum and chasing their tail.

SO, FIX THEM !!!!!!!!!!!

He blames increased homelessness on the pandemic too. I’m sure. 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️

The number of Get It Done pothole reports is outpacing the closure rate:

the potholes I see that get filled with asphalt fall apart so quickly and seem to leave a worse mess than the original. Anyone else noticing this? Will this just be a bigger problem in 2-3 years?

Ya that is mostly BS. Roads were terrible before the rain. Unless he is talking about a storm from 1992 or something.

Recall him

add to the list of things this mayor does not do well (homeless and crime). Almost blew out a tire yesterday.
