San Diego County will close out November with more unseasonally cool weather as a weak trough from the Pacific Northwest skirts through the region on Monday and Tuesday, says the National Weather Service.
The system could bring fleeting showers to Palomar Mountain on Tuesday. But widespread rain isn’t expected. However, a storm from the Gulf of Alaska could move into Southern California late in the week with substantial rain. The daytime high in San Diego Monday through Friday will be in the 63 to 64 degree range, which is 4 to 5 degrees below normal. Escondido will be 62 on Monday and Tuesday, 64 on Wednesday and in the low 60s the rest of the week. The seasonal high there is 70.The average November temperature for San Diego going into Monday was running about 3.9 degrees below normal. The city could finish the month more than 4.0 degrees below average.
Forecasters say a west swell will arrive on Tuesday and will produce 3 to 5 foot waves, with sets to 6 feet, at the favored spots.
