The NWS says daytime highs could be 8 to 11 degrees below average throughout much of the region and that several inches of snow will fall in the mountains.

The remnants of Monday’s huge storm will cause Tuesday’s daytime high temperatures in many San Diego County communities to be 8 to 11 degrees below average.

The National Weather Service said that San Diego is expected to peak at 58 degrees, which is nine degrees below normal. Oceanside will hit the same temperature and San Ysidro will reach 57. Escondido will reach 52 and El Cajon will top out at 56. It will be 46 in Campo, 37 in Julian and 35 at Mount Laguna, which is expected to receive 6 to 8 inches of snow by late Tuesday. Areas west of the mountains will get scattered showers.
