The ocean is still unusually cool. But temperatures will range from warm at the beach to hot in the foothills to really hot in the deserts.

Between now and the Fourth of July, temperatures will be warm at the beach, a bit warmer a few miles from the coast, hot in the valleys, foothills and mountains, and scorching in the desert, the National Weather Service said.

“But the coast will be the place to be, because it’ll be a bit cooler than everywhere else. And it will be pretty great everywhere.”
