Officials expect the current surge of cases, fueled by the fast-spreading Delta variant, to get worse before it gets better but say immunization is the key to ending the pandemic

San Diego County officials called on employers Monday to require their workers to get vaccinated against the coronavirus or receive a weekly COVID-19 test.

It remains unclear how many businesses will institute vaccine requirements for their workers, but many of the region’s largest employers have already done so or plan to soon. About 2.8 million San Diegans are currently eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine, but 500,000 of them have yet to get their shots. Notably, the county is not requiring businesses to mandate workplace vaccination and isn’t issuing a vaccine mandate for the public. Instead, officials continue to recommend that everyone who’s eligible to get a vaccine do so.

City HallOne person was stabbed during dueling protests by pro- and anti-vaccination demonstrators outside Los Angeles City Hall as the city moves closer to requiring proof of Covid-19 vaccination to enter many indoor spaces. CatsChocolates “Dueling protests”?!? You are part of the problem. We have Nazis attacking people and you frame it as mutual. 😡😡 😢 Let the vaccinated have their presumably safe bubbles and when the businesses fail and they all catch Covid from each other they'll have no one to blame but themselves.
