San Antonio traffic: SUV driver in Texas school bus crash dies

The driver of an SUV that hit a Pre-K 4 SA school bus Wednesday morning in a road rage incident has died from their injuries, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said. The crash happened around 8 a.m. when the school bus driver was heading to Pre-K 4 SA West Center to pick up children for a field trip, according to a statement from the preschool program. No children were on the bus when it crashed. Witnesses at the scene described a road rage incident leading up to the wreck.

The driver of the SUV had 'extensive injuries' and was in critical condition following the crash. They were transported to Brooke Army Medical Center and died from their injuries around 2:45 p.m. Although the bus had 'heavy damage' due to the collision, the bus driver and the driver whose vehicle the bus hit were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The three vehicles the SUV hit before the bus had minimal damage, the Sheriff's Office said.
