A San Antonio man was arrested Wednesday after being accused of fatally beating a man for having him arrested earlier in the year. Robert Carrasco , 39, was charged with murder in the death of 38-year-old Jason Banda . He also had an active warrant for a domestic violence charge. His combined bail was set at $212,000, court records show. Carrasco is accused of beating Banda to death on April 27 in the 200 block of Compton Avenue on the South Side .
Sheriff reveals details of the hours before apparent murder-suicide of Savannah Kriger and her son However, Banda’s sister, who is in a relationship with Carrasco, later told police that Banda was actually beaten by Carrasco earlier in the day and she was scared to tell police the truth because he had assaulted her before and he threatened to harm her and her family, according to the affidavit.
