Team captain Mitchell Taintor left with an injury in the first half, and San Antonio FC squandered an early lead to suffer a 2-1 loss to Miami FC.

San Antonio FC let one get away on the road at Miami FC on Saturday night as Miami overcame an early 1-0 deficit with a pair of first-half goals before holding on to win 2-1. It was the first time San Antonio had lost a game after scoring first since October 4, 2020, against Austin Bold FC, a streak of 65 games across all competitions. The loss to Miami is the second time San Antonio FC lost on the road this month after losing 1-0 at Las Vegas on April 6.

” San Antonio suffered its first loss of the night eight minutes after its goal when defender and team captain Mitchell Taintor had to be subbed off with an injury. Miami FC equalized five minutes later when Luis Pedro Leite da Silva kicked in a rebound off San Antonio goalkeeper Pablo Sisniega in the 24th minute. Leite da Silva was subbed off with injury and replaced by Michael Lawrence in the 33rd minute.
