San Antonio-area rescue's fundraiser for puppy shot in head

A Floresville dog rescue is 'in crisis mode' as it tries to raise money to save the life of Hope , a puppy shot point-blank in the head. Hope was only weeks old and hours away from death when she was discovered with the wound and taken to an animal hospital by Bee Pawsitive Husky Rescue . Her skull was cracked, and she was paralyzed on her right side due to the injury, which was caused either by a bullet or a BB, according to the rescue.

Now she has spent almost three weeks in the hospital undergoing a skull fracture surgery, three blood transfusions and treatment for parvovirus. She was also ridden with ringworms and tapeworms and has been struggling with high fevers. The rescue is hoping to take her home from the hospital soon, but it's struggling to cover the price tag of her treatment. As of Friday, there was about $2,000 outstanding.
