San Antonio airport adds Spirit Airlines flights to Dallas

Heading across Texas will get just a little easier this summer with new nonstop flights from San Antonio to Dallas on Spirit Airlines . Starting July 10, two flights a day will take off from San Antonio International Airport to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, SAT announced Tuesday. The first daily flight will depart San Antonio at 5 a.m. and arrive in Dallas at 5:50 a.m. The second daily flight leaves at 3:15 p.m. and lands in Dallas at 4:05 p.m.

Spirit Airlines has added multiple new routes from San Antonio in the past year, including Newark and Tampa. San Antonio International Airport has been 'so successful' for the low-cost airline, it said in a Tuesday release. 'We’re also excited for these low fares to bring tourists from the Dallas area to come and explore what makes our region so special,' said Jesus Saenz, San Antonio's director of airports.
