A 6-year old girl won her city's pageant, eager to travel to Dothan where she would compete in the Little Miss National Peanut Festival Pageant. But, then, she got disqualified.

SAMSON, Ala. -Brittany Bowdoin beamed as she watched her six-year-old daughter crowned Little Miss Samson and headed to compete for the coveted Little Miss National Peanut Festival title in Dothan---so she thought.

“My position is that we had local rules and they were printed and given to the mothers, and I discussed the matter with them to make sure they understood,” King said. Little Miss Samson rules state there must be at least three entries but, as the pageant approached, Brynlee Bowdoin was the only one.“I paid the $60 entry fee for one of them, as well as paying for her dresses and makeup,” she said.

The National Peanut Festival’s office manager said NPF does not get involved in local pageants—there are dozens of them--provided Festival guidelines are followed. Samson Mayor Clay King notified Cavendar that the results had been negated. Clay King is Terri King’s brother-in-law.

Disney stock gains as streaming additions overcome earnings, revenue missThe Walt Disney Co. disappointed Wall Street with earnings and revenue results, but added more streaming subscribers than expected. $DIS posted fiscal Q2 net income of $470 million, or 26 cents a share, on sales of $19.25 billion. Yet ask any Republican, and they'll say 'go woke, go broke', even after showing $470 net income in 3 months. Shows how they can't even understand basic economics. Wall Street is a little bitch with expectations, they posted net income amid hard times and even grew subscribers. Seriously these expectations annoy the shit out of me. I ignore them and look at the bigger picture! My compliments to Disney for the results!
