Sacramento man fatally struck by suspected impaired driver on I-80 in Tooele County

Sinclair is teaming up with Magen David Adom to help with their efforts providing humanitarian relief & emergency medical services in IsraelOfficials said 36-year-old Maksym Vechirko from Sacramento, Calif. was killed during the incident.

The crash occurred on Oct. 21 when a Mercedes Sprinter van with a trailer was pulled over on the right shoulder of eastbound Interstate 80 near milepost 55 in Aragonite, Utah. Vechirko, who was outside the vehicle inspecting his tires, was hit by a Hyundai Elantra, causing fatal injuries. Officials said that he was the son of a passenger in the same vehicle.
