The government bailout from state-owned Development Bank of Southern Africa was announced on Tuesday. The treasury had initially promised a 2 billion rand rescue package, but that funding had stalled when Finance Minister Tito Mboweni insisted it be done in a way that avoids increasing the budget deficit.SAA is fighting for its survival after it entered a form of bankruptcy protection in December and cancelled some flights because of cash shortages. The carrier has not made a profit since 2011.

I respect Mmusi's suggestion, yet my suggestion is that SAA just shuts down and pay out the labourers, and let the board members restructure things with out labour pressures this is if they are bailed out, and when all is ready they can resume course a new.

SellSAA

The executives have taken off with the bail out money like the banks did in 2009

I'm pretty sure the government bailout was a joke. The government bailout was a joke.

I hate to hear they're struggling. One of the best flights I remember taking out of the country was on this airline.

Questions emerge about why Kobe Bryant's helicopter was flying in 'very scary conditions''This was totally avoidable, and on the part of some people I can go as far as to say irresponsible,' said Robert Ditchey, a longtime airplane pilot, aeronautical engineer and former airline executive. Spatial disorientation-Look it up. The authorities should have denied permission to fly. My guess is they were intimidated that Kobe was onboard. Dude. You gotta flip those maps.
