S.A. man accused of killing victim during fight over liquor bottle

A man is facing a murder charge after he was accused of fatally shooting another man during a fight over a liquor bottle. Sysco Santana Barrientes, 27, was booked into the Bexar County jail on Saturday. He is accused of killing 26-year-old Deondre Elijah Bell on Dec. 30. His bail was set at $150,000. San Antonio police, responding to a call about gunfire in the area, found Bell dead in front of a home in the 700 block of Pennystone Avenue on the Southeast Side. He'd been shot in the torso.

-year-old killed after being struck by vehicle driven by family member When Bell walked back into the home after being escorted out to collect some personal items he'd dropped, he was shot by someone at the front door, according to the affidavit. A second person was also shot in the hand while they were trying to de-escalate the situation. Police spoke to witnesses who believed the person who shot Bell was the same person he had fought with inside the home.
