Breaking: A Russian court ordered WSJ reporter Evan Gershkovich detained until May 29 for what it described as espionage. His arrest has drawn broad condemnation.

Russia’s main security agency said Thursday it had detained Wall Street Journal correspondent Evan Gershkovich for what it described as espionage.

USA spy nabbed 💪🏿

USA spy nabbed red handed

Unless Russia has evidence, seizing EvanGershkovich is criminal & potential act of war. BrittneyGriner looms large: Biden succumbing to blackmail set dangerous precedent. Putin’s desperation is cause for fear: if cornered, madman will incite conflagration. RussiaUkraineWar

I think it’s time to arrest two Russian nationals for espionage in the US

responsibility of the WSJ russia is the same as Iran, Cuba, North Korea, or Venezuela

Absolute BS, WSJ is probably the least propaganda outlet in the US.

Funny, I just read in the Wall Street Journal how Julian Assange isn’t considered a journalist because he was soliciting material. As it appears Mr Gershkovich was doing the same, it appears that what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Russkis, we can get very asymmetric very quickly

WSJ hating Russia since 1964. UN incompetence all the while

POTUS this is what happens when you 'trade' an international arms dealer for a confessed drug smuggler.......

It probably doesn’t help that Gershkovich was caught in the city Yekaterinburg, which is home to the headquarters of the Central Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, right? I think we should blame you people for putting your journalists at risk.

Biden is weak

As a lawyer, I have to look at the evidence, but from a common sense perspective, it does not make any sense. Based on probabilities, I am inclined to go with common sense here.

Maybe your parent company cut back on all it's Russian Cheerleading.

Russian may need some hostages for prisoner swap to get their people back ?

well it is a fascist country ruled by a despot

jamesnorth7 I do Not wish the young man any ill; I pray for his safe return to freedom. but know this; Vladimir Putin is a better human than Rupert Murdock. Nobody should work for this hatful monster in wsj foxnews nypost!

Murdochs have to work the nomenklatura… our secretary of state doesn’t have enough clout… diplomats please…

Russia 👌👌👌

“Reporter” 😂 . WSJ is bought by wallstreet and everything they say is bullshit. russia keep him

Russia is a plague barracks. Of course, reporters are obliged to work everywhere, but civilized people should not even come near this stinking Mordor

Wait? WSJ reporter? Doesn’t the commies know he is in their side? Oh well, they got such a sweet deal for that basketball player I guess why not snatch a few for Americans 🤷🏻‍♂️

Outrageous

Terrible. Since TuckerCarlson and rupertmurdoch are such pals with Putin why aren’t they getting Evan released?

Who sent him in there?

Russia arrests Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich on spying chargeEvan Gershkovich could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted of espionage. He is the first American reporter to be arrested on espionage charges in Russia since the Cold War. See wsj .... you could've had me a crappy writer with blend opinions but noo how someone smart and turns out to be a spy lol... I mean do these folks get double pay? Also... I think Britney Griner is eligible VA benefits? Maybe we can trade Brittney Griner for him. Why would an American company even have US citizens in Russia? They know that Putin will arrest them for being a spy.
