A statement from the Russian space agency Roscosmos said the failure to dock on Saturday was because of problems in the docking system. It said the space station itself and the six-person crew are safe.
Vladimir Solovyev, flight director for the Russian segment of the ISS, said a new docking attempt would be made Monday. The capsule was launched Thursday as part of tests of a new rocket that is expected to replace the Soyuz-FG next year. It is carrying a robot called Fedor, which will perform two weeks of tests aboard the space station. Solovyev said the robot had not been taught how to manually conduct a docking.
Do they have incompetent engineers in Russia?
roripierpont1 The link wouldn't load right on my phone.
apparently keeps tweeting 'unexpected item in bagging area'
Oh no.
I am reassured to know that humanoid robots will also be bad at their jobs. Thank you, space agencies!
Cue Space Oddity
'I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do.'
Android. Stop playing with the inferior humans without instructions and return to Sanctuary.
The mission was doomed by the 'Russian' adjective in front of the technology after it.
Open the door Hal!!
That's the problem AI.....can't think on the fly.
Damn you if you aren't creative enough to read top to bottom in a single line, who wrote this, some kind of code writer, one letter single column instead of left to right
local24janice Save R2D2!
Oops
A Russian spaaace capsule carrying a humanoid robot has failed to dock as planned with the International spaaace Station.
Normally, if the docking system automation fails, a cosmonaut can manually guide the ship into position. In this case, the vessel is unmanned, and there is no 'backup' system. They will try again Monday. Wish em luck!
so a cosmoNOT?
Guess it is a good thing that it is a robot.
i’m.. i’m sorry this is Stranger Thing’s evil russian machine to open the gate to the Upside Down
I'm sorry, I can't dock that, Dave.
Missed it by... that much...
Ooops! That didn't go well.
Flawless Russian engineering as always...
Perhaps the robot just doesn't want to go into space?
FedorEmilanenko
If at first you don't succeed.....
Is Red China building that Russian capsule? They shouldn't intervene US space endeavors with Intl as astronauts. (They let the best one go in outerspace for finding out about activity. Ask Pr.Obama.)
Trump did it
Money on it’ll short out no shielding from cosmic rays. They’ve had history of faulty equipment.
Russian capsule carrying robot, fails space station docking.🚀

Aliens took it over‼️👽
Cause he going on to explore the universe. Live long & prosper Mr. Data... 🖖😃
assume that the humanoid, like most real humans, is simply incapable of parallel parking.
Hal, dock at the space station. Hal?
Will the robot die in space? Do we have to have a cyber-funeral? So many ethical questions...maybe we should consult iRobot star Will Smith!
Crazy!
They might be good at infiltrating American politics with their Manchurian candidate, but man, they suck at space.
All you humanoids out there.
Don't see no Americano Mr Roboto.
is that duct tape around the tip of that missile 😱😳
Wait! NASA is colluding with the Russians again!
There are Russian Space Humanoids?!!!!
It's somewhere bugging our election system.
Probably because the target wasn’t American Democracy
