Five years ago I made some big changes with my health and started running to lose weight. I am happy to report I have replaced my addiction to food with running races!I had always thought running was an individual sport, but have quickly realized I am part of an extended community of runners. I joined RW+ to connect with other runners and learn how I could improve my running skills.On April 15, 2013, eight-year-old Martin Richard was the youngest victim of the Boston Marathon bombing.
Although the in-person marathon was cancelled due to COVID-19, I am happy to report I completed the virtual Boston Marathon on Saturday, September 12, 2020 while raising 9K for a foundation I believe in.One of my favorite places to run is Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, MA which spans over 3,526 acres of forest, streams and ponds. I am constantly discovering new routes!In addition to running, I coach K-8 girls field hockey teams.
