Rockets owner Fertitta reportedly eyeing development on Las Vegas strip

Steve Wynn is a titan in Sin City and played a major role in the revitalization of the Las Vegas Strip in the 1990s. Fertitta is eyeing a roughly 6-acre property for about $200 million, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal and other local media outlets that said the deal is expected to be finalized in the next few months.

The property, which is occupied by a tequila bar and grill, is across from a chain of luxury stores and the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas, according to local media.The reported development would be the latest of many, recent large projects pursued by Fertitta, the 64-year-old CEO of Fertitta Entertainment with an estimated net worth of $5.7 billion.that Landry’s Inc.

The billionaire also owns Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Joe’s Crab Shack and the Golden Nugget chain of casinos that are located primarily in Nevada.
