NEW ORLEANS — Rockets guard Eric Gordon did not pretend he does not hear the boos. He does not quite get it. The Pelicans were a lottery team when he arrived, a playoff team when he left. But he did not seem bothered by the booing that pours down whenever he touches the ball or his name is announced inRather than tune out or ignore the boos, Gordon said he tries to answer them. But he said his scoring average against the Pelicans of 18.

“Individually, you use it as motivation. You definitely want to win. Winning cures everything. I know what to expect.”Gordon did not play in the Rockets’ previous trip to New Orleans this season, but he said he heard little from the crowd while he was on the bench. Gordon has made 47.6 percent of his shots, including 38.5 percent of his 3-pointers in 25 games against New Orleans. He has averaged more points only against the Wizards, averaging 19.9 points in 12 games.
