Road House has new characters in familiar roles.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The Road House remake surrounds Dalton with a completely new cast of characters, but many of them play similar roles to characters from the original movie. Dalton is a former UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer at a rough bar in the Florida Keys. While in town, he discovers that the constant disruption at the bar is all part of a plan to destroy the business.

8 Frankie=Frank Played by Jessica Williams and Kevin Tighe Close While other characters have their names changed for the remake, Frank and Frankie have such similar functions that there is no need. In the original Road House, Dalton goes to the hospital after being stabbed in the abdomen. It's there that he meets Elizabeth, and the two soon begin a relationship. The remake replaces Elizabeth with Ellie. She also works at the hospital, but she only meets Dalton when he delivers Dell's gang to the emergency room, straight after embarrassing them all in hand-to-hand combat.

The Road House remake replaces Wade Garrett with Charlie, who works at the local book store with her father. Charlie fulfills the role of moral guide to Dalton, and she helps him realize that he has a responsibility to the people of Glass Key when they are in danger. The burning of the book store reflects Wade's death in the original Road House. Both events spur Dalton on to seek revenge instead of turning his back and running.

4 Billy=Hank Played by Lukas Gage and Kurt James Stefka Close Hank tells others working at the bar that Dalton killed a man by ripping his throat out. This reflects how Billy recognizes Dalton as soon as he walks into the bar. The main antagonist of the original Road House is Brad Wesley, a ruthless, power-hungry crime lord who controls the town of Jasper through bribery and intimidation, and even violence when necessary. Every business in the town has to pay a portion of their income to Wesley, or they run the risk of arson and monster truck-related damages. Wesley finally meets his end when several people from the town team up to kill him and deny any involvement.
