China's state media is putting up a brave front as the country's trade war with the U.S. escalated sharply over the weekend.

on Saturday: "The United States is paying the price for launching a trade war, as China is forced to announce the levy of new additional tariffs on U.S. goods."

"Through more than a year of trade friction between the two countries, China never faltered," said the state news organization. "When the U.S. side tried to intensify trade bullying and exert maximum pressure on China, it only strengthened China's resolve, making China stand more firmly against the U.S. bullying, and defend its legitimate rights and interests," Xinhua added., and urged American firms to start "bringing your companies HOME and making your products in the USA."

Xinhua said any discussion of severing ties between U.S. and Chinese companies was "ridiculous at best." "Companies from both countries have been ambassadors for positive changes to the two economies," Xinhua reported.

So, who are we to believe? 45 who lies on a regular basis or the Chinese media who are controlled by a communist regime? Either way, trade wars are not good and are not easily winnable.

So the communists and the media agree. Hmmmm

Since when we started believing Chinese propaganda.

Ridiculous is light weight at best. You will have to say it’s “absurd” to land on the dotard’s radar.

Learn to code.

MikeWayland Someone needs to tell China that no one talks to Trump that way- ask Greenland.

It's all for Russia

Looks like the Beijing power structure would like to have this full scale economic battle.. There is a lot at stake now, as to who is finally standing backgrounds 15 in Madison Square Garden... If it is Beijing, everyone in the USA had better start learning Mandarin

Right....

This market rally today is a joke. Fueled by another Trump lie that a “deal” is in the works when the fact is that a deal is as far away as it has ever been. When are the Wall Street fools going to realize that Trump’s word isn’t worth 2 cents? How many examples do they need?!

'Ridiculous at best' That perfectly describes your Reporting Style

The Chinese state media, huh?

Sad that they seem more credible than Fox news.

So

Chinese “news” is a credible source of state-sponsored propaganda from a totalitarian state.

This is what I am seeing from living in Asia. The Chinese are prepared to take losses on American goods and sending goods to other developing countries to be rerouted to the USA for sale stamped made in that country though all intensively still made by Chinese companies.

What ridiculous is how China has stolen intellectual property for years from US companies with no repercussions until Trump took office. And how it has been a one sided trade environment to their advantage. Why should we continue to support this communist country?

At least China is making 'material preparations' for a long trade war. What are we doing?

Futures are up, if open is up... use it to exit positions! You can not dismiss the Tariff actions and statements made by Trump the last 3 days. December market lows are in sight.

Reminder....back in January they said they were a couple of weeks away from wrapping things up. Could this oddly-timed, 3AM, t-rump tweet be a mere distraction to prevent a market meltdown tomorrow ?!?!?

coward
