It was a night when Ridgewood had plenty to celebrate – a second North Jersey championship, its sixth, on-the-field shutout and some unexpected news. Head coach Mickey McDermott interrupted the high fives. hugs and photos when he unveiled an infant-sized, one-piece undershirt with threads down the front of it.Ridgewood was dominant from the outset. On the opening drive it, marched to the Wayne Valley eight yard line where Bisgrove made a rare mistake, throwing an interception in the end zone.
