‘Game of Thrones’ recap: Who won the Battle of Winterfell?

By David Malitz David Malitz Deputy features editor overseeing coverage of culture, arts, entertainment. Email Bio Follow Deputy features editor April 29 at 1:33 AM There will be no recap of “Game of Thrones” this week on account of the episode being cloaked in complete darkness. Check back next week when maybe we’ll be able to see what is actually going on. Thank you for understanding.

Their paths cross well into the battle as they find each other in a temporarily fortified room, after Arya makes some narrow escapes, aided greatly by the Hound and Beric Dondarion. It’s been many years since they saw each other, way back in season 3 when Melisandre took Gendry for her leech experiments, and she told Arya that they would meet again. “You said I’d shut many eyes forever,” Arya tells her, noting that she was correct. Melisandre’s reply: “Brown eyes, green eyes and blue eyes.

Jorah Mormont He is one of the few who was around from the very beginning and whose actions were consistently righteous, so it was a little tough to see him go. But at least he went out doing what he loves most — saving Khaleesi from getting killed and being embraced by her in a totally platonic way. He has saved her on multiple occasions before and was called into action again after Daenerys was separated from Drogon and plopped into the middle of the battlefield.

Eddison Tollett One of the last remaining originals from Jon Snow’s Night’s Watch class didn’t survive the big battle. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister and Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth in HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” Back among the living They may be bloodied and battered, but from what we can tell the following all survived the battle of Winterfell: Jaime Lannister; Brienne; the Hound; Gendry; Tormund; Davos; Podrick; Samwell; Grey Worm. It’s somewhat shocking but it does set up some sibling showdowns in these final few weeks.

Arya Stark of Winterfell 🙌🙋

Who cares!

Dead Starks were totally raised from the dead and attacked people in the crypts. The wights that marched into winterfell never got down there.

Be prepared, Cersei!

Why was it so dark, I mean literally Dark! It was at least 27 minutes where my screen was just smoke, snow, howls and screams! I think somebody died? I don't know who?

Uh. The wights didn't get in the crypts. It was the Starks. Did you not see them punching holes in the crypts to get out? Seriously.

Arya

Nobody, who matters, cares.

Most of the Crimes & Health Issues are related to these bad habits. PEACE So many Brothers & Sisters got killed in Sri Lanka.....after Netherlands, New Zealand & France.
