Retired Army Brigadier General Don Bolduc criticized President Biden Friday over his handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

"This is unprecedented. I went in in 2001 and served nine more tours after that, lost 72 service members. I think about their legacy. I think about their sacrifice and their families, and in the way this has been handled, this lack of ineffective leadership and this poor demonstration of policy and strategy," he said on"America's Newsroom.

"This is a time for bold action. This is not time to sit back on your hands and [for] hand wringing. It's time to roll up our sleeves," he said."The airports in Herat, Mazar-e-Sharif, Kunduz, Kabul, Bagram, Kandahar – secure those and then move forward with safe corridors, go into the areas, the provincial areas, the district areas, the villages [and] provide safe passage of American citizens and Afghans that we need to get out of there" Bolduc added.

This story eats itself. The whole point of ripping off the bandaid is because the generals are notorious for resisting withdrawals.

Failed General says what?

Does he realize this is the most orderly, peaceful withdrawal from Taliban-run Afghanistan we would have in any previous years?

He served 10 tours, he should know that we have no business there anymore.

First on CNN: More than 50 senators urge Biden to quickly evacuate Afghan alliesA bipartisan group of 53 senators is urging President Joe Biden to quickly evacuate Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) applicants and their families and fully implement changes to the program signed into law in late July. Then, who will be responsible for their life? I also want to protect small children He needs to first “quickly evacuate” all American citizens. WADR, until the political right gets their shit together, they shouldn’t be asking/ demanding/ urging POTUS to do anything. On one side of their mouths, they are screaming about expediting visas for Afghans. On the other side, they say “we don’t want them here.”
