A United States Post Office mail collection box at the Crooked Hill Road post office facility in Susquehanna Township. August 17, 2020. Dan Gleiter | dgleiter@pennlive.comFor two weeks in late January and early February, Anna Thompson of Susquehanna Township felt like her mail was being “held hostage.”
She said she only received mail twice in a two-week period and when she went to the U.S. Post Office on Seventh Street in Harrisburg she received various answers from the clerks: it was being sorted and they couldn’t retrieve it or it was on the truck or it was being delivered. On one occasion Thompson said the doors to the post office were locked during regular business hours when she went to inquire about her mail.
