Last month, Senate Democrats issued a press release accusing McConnell of turning the Senate into a “legislative graveyard.” Democrats have passed more than 100 pieces of legislation ranging from gun control to health care reform since gaining the House in January.

Republican leaders have slammed Democrats for not getting enough done in Congress even though more than 100 bills passed this year by the House of Representatives currently sit in the GOP-controlled Senate awaiting action.

The president wrote on Twitter that “Democrats are getting nothing done in Congress. All of their effort is about a Re-Do of the Mueller Report, which didn’t turn out the way they wanted. It is not possible for them to investigate and legislate at the same time.” That legislation includes the For the People Act, which is a comprehensive package of reforms to expand voting rights, limit partisan gerrymandering and limit the influence of donor money. It also encompasses the Paycheck Fairness Act, the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act and the Save the Internet Act.

“Leader McConnell promised that he would open the Senate so that ideas with bipartisan support could come to the floor, and said that he would allow a free and open amendment process to foster bipartisanship and deliver real legislation to the president’s desk. But Leader McConnell has failed to live up to these commitments,” the press release read.

100 Bills isn't significant or noteworthy, 1000's of Bills have passed that are of no significance to anyone! Newweek must be desperate for material!🤦‍♂️

Yeah, too bad the TV media would rather replay Trump's lies than show viewers what Dems are doing other than investigating Trump.

ClydeHaberman It is what the Senate does best: lie, blame HouseDems for Senate's inactions, while GOP Senate concede their Contitutional powers to Trump. VoteThemOut

PrincessBravato clarionledger sunherald JxnFreePress WLOX Republicans have forgotten how to participate in a representative democracy they have been obstructionist for so long. America deserves better than to be governed by Executive order. SenatorWicker SenHydeSmith

Republican held congress have over the past ten years out party above country they tried to make Obama a one term president then protect Trump at all cost

PrincessBravato Yup, you should mention that senatemajldr is the reason, the only reason, there has been no vote on the Bills

Democrats in the House have done a lot. Republicans in the Senate are blocking and stonewalling them at every turn. It’s Merrick Garland all over again.

Why is this not elevated and discussed in the mainstream news?!

Democrats don't ever seen to be Loud enough, shout it from the roof tops about what you're doing.

In a Congress under Republican Party control? Funny

Dem's Bill's= Taxes 100 Taxes if passes the Senate, Republican Democrats Bill's dosen't make a difference Bill's are Taxes our law makers love to spend our money over $20 Trillion debt is proof 2020 vote DTS! Term limits New Broom Sweeps Clean remove the Swamp Leaches MAGA!

The House Democrats in fact passing bill after bill, not because they believe anything will become law or represents what the people of this country want but for political purposes for the 2020 election. To waste taxpayers funds on the pursuit of power is unconscionable.

Stall tactics by senmajldr. Republican Obstruction in every branch.

Mitch McConnell is the person standing in the way of bringing Dem sponsored bills up for a vote in the Senate. He can then say that no bills have passed. I hope America can see through McConnell and trump.

The mainstream media cheerleading for the Dems again?

Quality vs quantity...something you fakers will never grasp. 😒
