Justin Amash’s declaration that President Trump has engaged in “impeachable conduct” has put his fellow Republicans in a bind: stuck between an angry president who often seeks to punish his critics and their reluctance to penalize one of their own.
Amash continued presenting those views Monday, issuing a fresh series of tweets arguing that his critics are “resting their argument on several falsehoods.” The leader of the Club for Growth — a conservative group that has staunchly backed Amash since his first congressional run in 2010, and whose spending helped him overcome a 2014 primary challenge — publicly criticized his impeachment remarks Monday, calling him “absolutely wrong on the standard for impeachment.”
But several GOP officials said leaders are wary of overreacting to Amash and raising his profile. Multiple officials pointed to Amash’s decision not to rule out a presidential run on the Libertarian Party ticket.
Punish him instead of Trump? What a sick group.realDonaldTrump WhiteHouse
Most Republicans cannot handle any cracks of breaking ranks with the party. Party over country and that’s acceptable in their eyes. He is a Conservative that read the Mueller Report and comprehended a conclusion.
All resisters should support justinamash he is the type of representative we’ve been asking for. He took a stand against his party irregardless of consequences. Now he’s attacked by members of his party and has a primary challenger. He should not lose his seat to a Trumper.
If there are any Republicans with good morals left they will stand against the swamp rat in chief.

If you have the chance to be righteous or sinful, hmmm, which one should I choose?
Reluctant ? Shouldn’t be!!
Amazing! Such a tough choice for the Republicans: Either bow down to the Liar in Chief and ignore their oaths of office OR do the right thing! Do their jobs! Serve the people! Protect & Defend our Constitution!!! SUCH A TOUGH CHOICE!! OH THE PAIN OF IT ALL!
Who wants to punish Amash? He's getting primaried, which is how our system works.
This man is being blackmailed
It is what happens to a bunch of people who are untruthful.
There's something painfully laughable about the idea of punishing a man for speaking the legal and ethically truth.

Fake news. GOP all hates Amash.
Time to choose. Just like with parenting, it’s always hardest to do the right thing. They need to do the hard work and take a stand for our country. Our democracy is at stake.
WaPo is full of shit again. Keep trying cupcakes, you can't spin what is about to drop.
If the GOP is interested in winning they had better sanction justinamash to the point that they are willing to let the seat the go if need be.That’s how serious of an offense Amash committed.JudasGutterRatTraitor.
America needs a hero. Keep talking Justin
Who is Justin Amash’s Chinese partner? must be someone higher up in the Communist Party-
