The Cardinals' backup players held the line for Arizona in the victory over the reigning but struggling Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams.

Cardinals insider Bob McManaman hands out his position-by-position grades for the Cardinals following their game Sunday against the Rams:, backup Colt McCoy, hasn’t started a regular-season game in a year, this unit showed plenty of positive plays. McCoy was efficient and calm, he got the football out on time and in rhythm, and the passing game moved the chains, especially early. McCoy had no turnovers and he got big days out of DeAndre Hopkins and Rondale Moore as well as two big plays from A.

Watt the fumble recovery, which he would have returned for a touchdown if not for an inadvertent early whistle by the referee. Budda Baker, a surprise starter despite dealing with a high ankle sprain, played inspirational football and is the one who made the interception. Cornerback Antonio Hamilton played lights out, finishing with nine tackles, including five on the Rams’ first possession of the game.
