Taking daily attendance in school was once a perfunctory task, but with remote learning it has become harder to do, threatening students’ well-being and school funding, educators say

When the coronavirus pandemic hit, schools lost track of an estimated 20% to 40% of students who were absent from online classes.

Students aren’t learning anything remotely, we are fooling ourselves

I got teacher friends with funny stories about what happens when they try to take attendance. That's the angle the should have taken. One girlfriend teaching high school ask for a student and the mom yelled out 'He's here, washing dishes! He will be there when he's done!'

School choice for all!!

It's not that hard. Teachers with half a brain will figure it out. Use a Zoom waiting room or something..

Power hungry politicians, incompetent bureaucrats and teachers unions have disrupted and are destroying educational system. The dumbing down of America continues. Career politicians have decided to sacrifice the youth of today for votes. Term limits!!!!

ABC news and all the news outlets from around the world including world embassies, psychologist and doctors in Australia commented on my video

In high school, son “tapped” into grading system, wrote a term paper on it, sent a letter to principal. Got an A and accolades for pointing out how easy it was. Sure kids can figure out how to be marked as virtually present for class.

Have they heard of fingerprint scanners? We spend roughly $10,000 per school aged child yearly. What's another $15 per scanner and couple thousand dollars to develop an integrated program for the scanners?

Perfunctory is my favorite word.
