Relatives of the family found dead in a house fire on the Southeast Side last week released a statement as police continue to investigate their deaths. Alfredo Pescador, 44; Blanca Pescador, 40; Leslie Pescador, 19; and a 13-year-old juvenile were found dead after their home was found engulfed in flames in the 4400 block of Wrangler Run. Blanca Pescador’s family said last week’s “tragic event” left her entire family speechless.
Police investigating Southeast Side house fire that killed family as a homicide “Our whole world was turned upside down,” the statement reads. “My sister Blanca was a happy and beautiful person and my niece and nephew awesome human beings and outstanding students.” The family described Blanca as someone who prioritized her family while loving to laugh. “Her entire world revolved around her kids and husband,” the family said.
