Feb. 18—RED BLUFF — The Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites in Red Bluff is taking steps to become environmentally friendly and self-sufficient.

On Wednesday, construction crews broke ground on a project that will see several solar panels and electric vehicle chargers added to the hotel’s facility. This crew is working on a similar project in Placerville. The construction crew working on this estimate it will take about two and two and a half months for the project to be completed.
