It is business as usual for certain people and companies. We see every day how eager people are to jump on believing totally biased, even non-existing “news”... and they don’t even apologize when they are proved wrong.. they basically crave incredibly serious allegations.

We are living in a world where everyone is fake. I believe only in what I see with my own eyes. The trust in people is unfortunately broken because of the corrupt media establishment and corrupt politicians.

This is scary. USA needs a clever plan to counter future fake news outbreaks, especially from Russia etc. The voters on the Right are extremely susceptible to fake news. Fox News, Breitbart etc. must be punished for ignoring journalistic standards.

Just to clear this up, the 'AI' doesn't understand a thing about the produced text. It is basically as simple as sampling from a learned conditional distribution of words. So, it's pretty much random. That people believe it, that's another problem. ArtificialIntelligence

I thought the scary part should have been how much ignorance and the lack of interest in learning is the backbone of all this fake news fuss...but nope. Still remain ignorant remains the best deal for everybody.
The really scary part is that some famous senators produce complete wrong stories and directly write lies without any hesitation. This is really scary!!
timurkuran 1/3 of the country doesn’t believe the real stories anyway, and the other 2/3 are pretty discerning, so maybe it won’t matter.
