The ambiguity is adding to the anxiousness employees are feeling over the layoffs. Some laid-off employees have scrambled to internal Slack channels to share their job levels and team names, in an effort to help put together a list of teams affected by Wednesday's job cuts,In one of the emails a laid-off employee received, obtained by Insider, Galetti said they no longer have any work duties required for Amazon.
The email also told employees that because their work computer was to be promptly cut off, employees will need to add their work emails, as well as Amazon's videoconferencing app Chime, and access to Amazon's internet-based apps AtoZ to their personal devices. This is not a decision that was made lightly, and we are committed to providing support to ease the transition out of Amazon, including a separation payment, transitional benefits as applicable by country, and external job placement services.
During this transition period, our primary mode of communication will be through internal email on your non-Amazon device. Importantly, access to your Amazon laptop will be restricted later today, so please take the time now to add Amazon email to your non-Amazon personal device, as well as the Chime and AtoZ apps for ease of access to important information and resources.

Ugh, paywall. Anyone have a spare Business Insider login they can share? 😅
Yeah, great way to allow for disgruntled employees to wreak havoc before they leave. Also, not at all classy.
And the corporations/news media wonder why employees are no longer 'go-getters' and quiet-quitting instead.
That's because there is no Amazon Human Resources Department anymore. They replaced it with Artificial Intelligence.
During the financial crises in 08/09 I was laid off by a manager they just brought in from another firm. Found out that person was my neighbor's (right across the street from me) son. Think neighbor felt bad for me so he always helped clean my driveway when it snowed.
Classy 🤬🤬🤬
