I had to take a while to justify spending $30 on it for my single, unemployed butt in a pandemic. If box office is sluggish, that price tag may have something to do with it.
At the AMC Metreon in San Francisco the state of the art safety measures includes a security guard asking cinemagoers are they healthy, does that really give you any confidence that exhibitors are doing everything they can to make people feel safe?
A few weeks ago exhibitors were excited NY movie theatres would reopen in March believing 'pent-up demand' would get people rushing back, the problem is they haven't learnt anything from other opening in other states and countries its all about consumer confidence still very low
Its a sign the vast majority of cinemagoers outside of Asia aren't ready to go back to the cinema anytime soon, studios shouldn't be releasing these films now, this has been obvious for months with studios and exhibitors not learning anything from the last 12 months

Disney+ isn’t available for most South East Asia. It also costs USD 30 besides the subscription. So many things going on and it’s still in the middle of pandemic. People don’t go to cinema now. This is streaming service. Give it time. Don’t treat it the way before the pandemic.
