"It was nice to be able to witness a genuine act of kindness," Bozymowski, a film, stage and television director, added in a later tweet. He told NBC News,"My hope is that the moment inspires others to be generous and kind as well."
The Fourth of July tweet garnered praise on Twitter:"she's a human being that's having hard times," one user commented,"and there are many more like her that don't know where their next meal is coming from. You just never know what people are dealing with. Thank you to the officers for your kindness."NYPD representative Terence Monahan also retweeted Bozymowski's post, which has been liked 2,000 times since yesterday.
Cops like Lt. Sojo and Officers Cuevas and Rivera of the Strategic Response Group are the kind-hearted cops who quietly do good deeds for New Yorkers in need. My thanks to
Above and beyond duty for the men/women in blue!!!
What a nice thing for them to do.
Cool and humane.
According to very recent history, If those cops were white I’m guessing that would’ve ended up with her on the ground with 2 knees in her neck & a gun or 2 aimed at her head & her being dragged off to a concentration camp in Texas.
A true example of “protect & serve.” Well done!
Completely inappropriate behavior for cops to engage in. She was stealing. It’s their job to support the law. Are they going to pay for an Uber for a drunk driver ?
Well done
That's sort of Christlike. 'Go and sin no more'

Need more of this kind of news.
Good

This is the side of America that makes me most Proud. As a native New Yorker, these Officers should be held up as Shining Examples to other Officers. I Bow in Awe & Respect to you Gentlemen & the families you made Proud with your Act of Kindness.
I saw that happen recently at a supermarket. The store security paid for a woman’s food and diapers.
I love reading some of the comments sounding off like this is some random act and a rarity. Police across this country do thing kind of thing everyday! Thx to all those who walk the line everyday! bluelivesmtr

Wait, MAD is still around? Where? Wot? Ok. Now I Am Worried! sad, but i read a few copies in the mid-late 2000's and it was a pale shadow of the subversive chucklefest i grew up on (especially ironic too since it was now in colour)
