The Kentucky senator offered his condolences to the family of Ahmaud Arbery Saturday and called for the U.S. justice system do better in the wake of the February shooting death of the Georgia jogger.

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul offered his condolences to the family of Ahmaud Arbery Saturday and called for the U.S. justice system do better in the wake of the February shooting of the Georgia jogger.

Paul echoed the sentiment of several national lawmakers who have criticized the Georgia legal system and the district attorney for failing to bring charges against the father and son who only this week were arrested on murder and assault charges. Gregory McMichael, 64, and Travis McMichael, 34, are now in the custody of the Glynn County Sheriff's Department nearly three months after the alleged murder of Arbery. He was shot to death on February 23 in Brunswick, Georgia.

Public outcry and national attention from figures like Paul occurred only after a video of the killing emerged on social media last week and the family saying the 25-year-old was chased down and shot by the two white men as a victim of racial profiling. "Nothing justifies the shooting of #AhmaudArbery in Georgia. My heart goes out to his family and I hope justice is done. Our criminal justice system needs to do better," the Kentucky senator tweeted Saturday.in Georgia. My heart goes out to his family and I hope justice is done. Our criminal justice system needs to do better. On Thursday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced the arrests of the McMichaels.

Jumped right in there with both feet.

Maybe not having a racist Republican President and DOJ corrupted by Trump sycophant Bill Barr would be a good start.

honestly like he or any GOP member really cares for anything other than themselves and the Orange mobster

He was murdered on 2/23/20. It's a little late to pretend you give a damn, GOP hypocrite.

Rand Paul should look in the mirror! This comment is coming from the same guy who believes the 1964 Civil Rights Act was unconstitutional and said, he'd buy Rep. Ilhan Omar a plane ticket back to Somalia so she will 'appreciate America more.' He's the epitome of hypocrisy!

Involving the police involves government bc these attorneys r over them, chair police union but r union busters and Sr partners r judges. See my Facebook page Beverly Ann Williamson r what’s being done to me. See Targeted Individuals and Gangstalkers both funded by government.

0bama was recently exposed for his involvement in the Russia/Trump lie. Democrats are going to use this event as the spark that ignites massive riots, nationwide riots 'IF' the DOJ even thinks about taking down the 0bama '1st black president legacy'.

😂🙄

No shit!

No kidding, Senator Milquetoast.

This is a tragedy. I wonder if his Dad likes to run 20+ miles in work boots and cargo shorts while carrying a hammer and stopping to look in people’s windows too? This is sad. What’s the purpose. Why hate so much? My condolences to you and the family, sir.
