Hinchcliffe was a fan favorite throughout his 11-year IndyCar career, which saw him grab wins at all of a street circuit, a permanent road course, and an oval. He more famously raced for both Schmidt Peterson Motorsports and Andretti Autosport, but his career started racing for the legendary Newman/Haas Racing in their last season of IndyCar competition in 2011.
