Gasoline prices are on the decline thanks to a quiet hurricane season, lower oil prices and modest demand, and experts are hopeful that combination means...

Nationally, prices have fallen for 12 consecutive weeks, according to GasBuddy, which compiled data from over 150,000 gas stations.

Gasoline demand has increased slightly since then, from 8.59 million barrels per day, to 8.73 million barrels per day, according to AAA, but lower oil prices have allowed pump prices to fall regardless. And it’s not over. Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, told CNBC he is hopeful the national average per gallon will drop to $3.49 between Halloween and Thanksgiving, with southern states faring even better.
